About Us
Mission
Swiss Trustnet International aims at promoting and developing DLT Technology in Switzerland and internationally and fostering an ecosystem around a permissioned blockchain, the TrustnetONE blockchain.
Initiated by trustwise.io ag, Swiss Trustnet International is the first Swiss Association which was founded to govern a permissioned blockchain with smart contracts on-chain in a controlled but transparent manner. Combining the advantages of two worlds, transparency and power sharing of permission-less chains on the one hand and legal safety, confidentiality, predictability and scalability of permissioned chain on the other hand, Swiss Trustnet International provides businesses with a reliable and protected blockchain infrastructure. Participation in different roles such as node operators, validators, service provides and association members are designed to contribute to the trustworthiness of the blockchain.
Swiss Trustnet International also acts as a legal counterpart for end-users. Every actor on the blockchain with a legitimate interest can request temporary access to the blockchain to examine their transactions, in particular in order to prove their value rights according to the new Swiss DLT legislation.
The association strives for high degree of diversity of its members in terms of jurisdiction, types and sizes of authorities or businesses. All members are on an equal footing and take their decisions on node operators, validators and new association members with on-chain voting.
The association also finances research and development of blockchain technology, especially with respect to scalability and IoT integration.
